Sexton Creeps is an international musical project from the underground art scene in Groningen, the Netherlands. A musical collective rooted in experimental and psychedelic music, combining dark guitar grooves with psychedelic soundscapes created by DIY instruments, effects, and once in while classical violins or accordeon to top it off. Their deep and vivacious live gigs have earned them a good live reputation. This led to diverse tours through the Dutch clubcircuit and performances on festivals such as, Eurosonic, Noorderzon, Fringe Festival Amsterdam, and bookings as the opening acts for O’Death, The Kill Devil Hill, Deer Tick and in 2016 they were the opener for Wovenhand on their dutch Tour.
In June 2009 the band released their first studio album Song For My Kaiserin, which was well received by the critics and was labeled ‘Krochtenrock’ (i.e. ‘Crypt Rock’) and ‘Dark wave indie curiosities’. Since then almost every year there was a new release of this perky band. (check the discography for all releases) Now, after a three year period of relative silence, in which the remaining members had to dance with phoenixlike manoeuvres, the band has released three albums in 2018. Am awesome start for a new era of melancholical and psychedelic rock. The darkstained blood has unclotted and flows as never before.
